## Synopsis

Hotel Del Luna (2019) is a South Korean fantasy romance drama series created by Hong Jeong-eun and Hong Mi-ran for tvN, a single-season run of sixteen 70-minute episodes produced by Studio Dragon. Its story follows Jang Man-wol (IU), the immortal owner of a hotel that shelters dead souls waiting to move on, and Goo Chan-sung (Yeo Jin-goo), an elite hotelier invited to manage the establishment. Their working relationship grows as Chan-sung learns the rules of the hotel and the strange world it sits within. Each episode is built around a ghost guest with unfinished business, and the engine of the show is the slow unravelling of Man-wol's own history alongside the emotional lives of the people around her. Seoul settings give the premise a modern texture, contrasting everyday city life with the hushed, otherworldly corridors of the hotel. The tone moves from playful romantic comedy into a wistful, melancholic register, with themes of healing, forgiveness, and learning to love again. Viewers who enjoyed the afterlife romance of Goblin and the gentle supernatural warmth of Along with the Gods will find resonance here. Shin Jung-keun, Bae Hae-sun, and Lee Do-hyun round out the principal cast in a bittersweet, emotionally sincere k-drama that rewards patient viewing and a readiness to cry.
