## Synopsis

Chucky (2021-2024) is an American horror comedy series created by Don Mancini for USA Network and Syfy, running three seasons and twenty-four episodes before its cancellation. Set in a suburban New Jersey town, the story begins when a vintage Chucky doll turns up at a yard sale and a string of brutal murders begins. Zackary Arthur plays Jake Wheeler, a teen whose family and neighbors become suspects, while Björgvin Arnarson plays Devon Evans and Alyvia Alyn Lind plays Lexy Cross as the young people trying to figure out who is behind the killings. Brad Dourif voices the demon doll himself, and Devon Sawa and Fiona Dourif carry the storyline's connections to the franchise's past. The engine is a whodunit with a supernatural killer: every episode peels back the respectable surface of the town and exposes its hypocrisies, while old enemies and reluctant allies complicate the hunt. Gore is staged with gleeful excess and the dialogue plays the absurdity for laughs. Fans of Child's Play, Scream and Happy Death Day will find resonance in its mix of slasher bloodshed, self-aware humor and suburban secrets, all carried by a serialized season-long mystery.
