## Synopsis

Gank Your Heart (2019) is a Chinese web drama romance series created for Mango TV, a single-season run of thirty-five episodes. It follows tsundere livestreamer Qiu Ying (Wang Zixuan), who first approaches famous esports star Ji Xiangkong (Wang Yibo) only to boost her own popularity. Their disastrous first meeting backfires and damages her career, forcing her to reconsider the path she has chosen. As the two are pulled into a shared gaming world, the series builds its engine around rivalry, professional cooperation, and gradual attraction, with each episode made of training, competitive matches, and personal setbacks. Supporting principals include Jerry Yan as Pei Xi and Ding Guansen as Lin Yixuan, rounding out a team-centered ensemble. The story is grounded in contemporary Chinese livestreaming and esports culture, with a bright, youthful register and a slow burn that rewards patience. Fans of Go Princess Go and Haikyu!! will find resonance in its blend of competitive sport, teamwork, and romance. Its tone stays warm and earnest, and its central theme of a misunderstood genius being seen for who he really is gives the romance emotional weight.
