## Synopsis

Fate/Grand Order Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia (2019-2020) is a Japanese animated fantasy action series produced by CloverWorks and Aniplex, adapted from the mobile game Fate/Grand Order. Across a single season of 21 episodes, agents Ritsuka Fujimaru (voiced by Nobunaga Shimazaki) and Mash Kyrielight (voiced by Rie Takahashi) are dispatched to ancient Babylonia in 2500 BCE, where they must help King Gilgamesh (voiced by Tomokazu Seki) defend the city of Uruk. Their mission is to fend off waves of mysterious beasts while investigating the three gods who threaten humanity, all as legendary figures and mythic heroes gather to fight at their side. The engine of each episode is a running battle against monstrous invaders, mixed with research into the strange forces behind the attacks. The tone blends epic mythic grandeur with lighter banter, especially through the playful companion Fou (voiced by Ayako Kawasumi). Set in a vivid historical Mesopotamian world, the show pairs spectacle and character warmth with a steady sense of foreboding. Fans of Fate/Zero and Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works will find resonance in its blend of legendary heroes, supernatural conflict and historical myth.
