## Synopsis

BIA (2019-2020) is an Argentine and Brazilian family teen drama series created by Carmen López Areal, Jorge Edelstein and Marina Efron, broadcast on Disney Channel. Isabela Souza plays Beatriz "Bia" Urquiza, a sixteen year old girl with a vivid imagination who wants to find her own creative voice. Around her, Julio Peña plays Manuel Gutiérrez, Guido Messina plays Alex Gutiérrez, and Andrea de Alba plays Carmín Laguardia, all members of a group of teens who gather in the Fundom, a casual hangout where they write, perform, and share art. The engine of the show is simple and warm: friendships, rivalries, and crushes play out as the group pushes their projects forward and tries to make room for their talents among everyday pressures. Each episode is a light, colorful mix of music, dance, and small dramas, and the two seasons of sixty episodes each keep a continuing set of friendships at the center. The mood is upbeat, sincere, and comforting, with an emphasis on youth, belonging, and creative expression. Fans of Soy Luna, Violetta and High School Musical: The Musical: The Series will find resonance in its bright teen musicality and its celebration of young artists.
