## Synopsis

Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac (2019-2024) is a United States-distributed animated shounen action series created for Netflix and Crunchyroll, produced by Toei Animation. Pegasus Seiya (voiced by Masakazu Morita) leads a band of zodiac-bearing warriors, including Dragon Shiryu (voiced by Takahiro Sakurai), Cygnus Hyoga (voiced by Hiroaki Miura) and Andromeda Shun (voiced by Satomi Sato), in defending the reincarnated goddess Athena (voiced by Fumiko Orikasa). Across three seasons and thirty-six episodes, the engine is simple and propulsive: each knight must master his power, face a rival warrior in a spectacular fight, and keep the goddess safe while a dark prophecy gathers over them all. The series is rendered in 3d animation, giving its battles a glossy, kinetic scale. Its tone mixes earnest loyalty, heroic sacrifice and high-energy spectacle, with a grounding in Greek mythology. Fans of Saint Seiya, Hades Saint Seiya: Soul of Gold and Castlevania will find resonance in its mythic stakes and relentless action.
