## Synopsis

Titus (2000-2002) is an American dark comedy sitcom created by Christopher Titus, Jack Kenny, and Brian Hargrove for FOX, built on Christopher's own stand-up act Norman Rockwell is Bleeding. Christopher Titus is an outwardly childish adult who runs a custom car shop, and each self-contained episode follows his efforts to keep his life in order while his dimwitted half-brother Dave keeps wrecking things. His loyal friend Tommy and his girlfriend Erin, a warm-hearted woman, offer steadier company. Dominating every room is his arrogantly lewd, bigoted, multiply divorced father Ken, whose cruelty shaped the family's history. The show runs for three seasons and 54 half-hour episodes, with narration drawn from the stage show framing the chaos in the workshop and home. The tone is caustic and bruised yet warm underneath, mixing slapstick with pointed moments about neglect and damaged parenting. Viewers who enjoy Married... with Children, Roseanne, or Louie will find resonance in its blunt working-class humor and autobiographical honesty.
