## Synopsis

Mao Mao: Heroes of Pure Heart (2019-2020) is an American animated action comedy series created by Parker Simmons for Cartoon Network, produced by Titmouse. Mao Mao, a young swordsman-cat voiced by Parker Simmons, leads a trio of fearless warriors alongside Badgerclops, voiced by Griffith Kimmins, and Adorabat, voiced by Lika Leong. Together they protect the cute, cuddly and helpless Sweety Pies of Pure Heart Valley, whose gentle king, King Snugglemagne, depends on them. Each episode is built from a fresh threat: monsters, villains and bands of sky pirates such as Orangusnake, Ramaraffe, Boss Hosstrich and Rat-A-Rang, all voiced by a repertory of cast members including Christopher McCulloch and Debra Wilson. The engine of the show is Mao Mao's ambition to grow into a legend in his own time, balancing swordplay and bravado against the comic clumsiness of his friends. Short eleven-minute episodes move briskly, with a playful, cheerful tone and a bright, exaggerated visual sensibility. The series ran for one season of forty episodes on the network before its cancellation. Fans of Adventure Time, Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Powerpuff Girls will find similar resonance in its whimsical monster-battling heart.
