## Synopsis

Daniel Sloss: Live Shows (2018) is a Scottish stand-up comedy miniseries created by Daniel Sloss for Netflix. Across two lengthy live episodes, each running about two hours, Sloss performs as himself, taking on subjects that are very dark and deeply personal and finding the humor in them with an irreverent, unsparing voice. There is no fictional plot or ensemble cast; the engine of the show is the comedian's own storytelling, with each set building through confessional anecdotes, sharp observational detours and escalating provocations that test how far a laugh can go. The format is a pure live stand-up performance filmed before an audience, so the experience feels close and immediate, with the rhythm of a long conversation rather than a scripted drama. The tone is sardonic, candid and bluntly funny, with flashes of vulnerability underneath the jokes. Fans of Hannah Gadsby: Nanette, Bill Burr: Walk Your Way Out and Jerry Seinfeld: 23 Hours to Kill will find resonance in its blend of raw personal material and fearless comic nerve. Its strong language and frank adult content make it best suited to viewers who want uncompromising, adult-oriented comedy.
