## Synopsis

Typewriter (2019) is an Indian Hindi-language supernatural mystery series created by Sujoy Ghosh and distributed on Netflix. Three young friends in Goa, among them Gablu (Mikhail Gandhi), Anya (Sara Gesawat) and Jenny (Palomi Ghosh), plan to explore an old villa in search of ghosts as a sort of amateur adventure. Their playful investigation turns serious when a new family moves into the house, bringing an attractive daughter whose presence stirs the building's buried past in increasingly chilling ways. The engine of the story is the friends' bid to uncover what the villa is hiding while the boundary between their game and real danger blurs. Told in a single five-episode season of roughly fifty minutes each, the series builds a compact, self-contained arc rather than an open-ended run. Its mood is eerie and atmospheric, with a creeping sense of dread tempered by the youthful bravado of its leads. Set in present-day Goa, it mixes coastal Indian atmosphere with the classic haunted house tradition. Fans of Stranger Things, The Haunting of Hill House and Gravity Falls will find resonance in its blend of youthful curiosity and supernatural unease.
