## Synopsis

Two Weeks to Live (2020) is a British dark comedy crime miniseries created by Gaby Hull for Sky One. Maisie Williams stars as Kim Noakes, a strange young misfit who, after a childhood spent in remote rural seclusion with her mother Tina (Sian Clifford) and her survivalist training, ventures into the real world for the first time. Her secret mission is to honour the memory of a father whose death was murky, and she is soon tangled with Nicky Malik (Mawaan Rizwan) and Jay Malik (Taheen Modak). The engine of the show is Kim's clumsy, determined attempts to navigate ordinary society while pursuing a private vendetta, which brings car chases, shootings and sharp social friction. Told across a single six-episode season of roughly twenty-four minutes each, it is a compact, brisk miniseries rather than an open-ended saga. The tone blends wry, deadpan comedy with bursts of violence and sincere emotion, sometimes uneasily, giving it a cringe-prone, off-kilter feel. Fans of Killing Eve, Fleabag and Barry will find resonance in its mix of dark humour, a damaged heroine and criminal chaos. Its mood is irreverent and breezy, with a streak of melancholy beneath the jokes.
