## Synopsis

Kemono Michi: Rise Up (2019) is a Japanese animated isekai comedy series created for AT-X, adapted from a manga and produced by ENGI. Across one twelve-episode season of roughly twenty-four minutes each, professional wrestler and animal lover Shibata Genzo is suddenly summoned to a fantasy world by a princess who wants him to rid the land of evil beasts. Outraged at being asked to kill monsters, he answers with a German suplex and then decides to make a peaceful life for himself, running a shop that sells monster pets. Voice actor Katsuyuki Konishi plays Genzo, alongside Akira Sekine as Shigure, Yuki Yagi as Hanako, Arisa Sakuraba as Camilla and Tetsu Inada as Macadamian Ogre. The engine of each episode is a clash between a stubborn wrestler's sense of right and an alien world's expectations, with wrestling moves, shop routines and customer monsters filling the runtime. Its tone is light, goofy and warm, a shonen-flavored parody of the isekai boom that fans of KonoSuba and Isekai Quartet will find resonance in. Watch it for good-natured absurdity rather than stakes.
