## Synopsis

Graceful Family (2019) is a South Korean chaebol melodrama broadcast on MBN, a one-season limited run of sixteen long episodes. Mo Seok-hee (Im Soo-hyang) is the beautiful, sharp, and wealthy only child of the head of the MC Group, a conglomerate whose family is hiding a violent past. Beneath her cool, arrogant surface she is grieving a mother killed fifteen years earlier and searching for the truth. Heo Yoon-do (Lee Jang-woo) is a lawyer with no office who settles small neighborhood disputes at a restaurant, and he is headhunted into the TOP team, the internal unit that manages the family and buries its immoral and illegal conduct. The engine of the series is a slow, tense collision between his sense of justice and her private need for answers, played out across boardroom maneuvering, family rivalries, and quiet confrontations. Set in contemporary Seoul's corporate elite, it moves with the melancholic, emotionally charged register of a Korean family drama, combining slow burn romance with a steady undercurrent of mystery and corruption. Viewers who enjoy The Penthouse and Vincenzo will find resonance in its blend of revenge, class privilege, and moral compromise.
