## What critics say

Critics generally find the series an intimate, well-crafted look inside a Bundesliga club, though its close access limits how critical it can be.

## Synopsis

This docuseries follows Borussia Dortmund through the 2018/19 Bundesliga season, using close, largely unscripted access to players, coaches, and club staff. Rather than focusing on a single match, it traces the rhythm of a long campaign: training ground routines, tense dressing room moments, press conferences, and the private conversations that shape a team's mood. The tone is candid and observational, with a steady undercurrent of hope and frustration as the club chases the title and wrestles with injuries, pressure, and the expectations of a demanding fanbase. Viewers see the human side of professional football, including the bonds between teammates, the strain on managers, and the emotional weight of results that can change in a single weekend. Its appeal lies in immersion: the sense of being inside the group as it reacts to victories, defeats, and uncertainty. The series rewards those who enjoy sports storytelling built on atmosphere, character, and the quiet drama between big games. It is best suited to football fans and viewers curious about how a major European club operates from the inside.
