## Synopsis

The Baker and the Beauty (2020) is an American romantic comedy-drama created by Dean Georgaris for ABC. Victor Rasuk plays Daniel Garcia, a dutiful young man working in his family's Miami bakery under the watchful eye of his loving Cuban parents and siblings. One wild night he meets Noa Hamilton (Nathalie Kelley), an international superstar and fashion mogul, and his quiet life is suddenly pulled into the spotlight. The engine of the show is the question of whether this unlikely couple can upend their lives to be together without tearing apart their families, as each side pushes against the other's expectations. Its nine episodes are built around everyday family routines, workplace friction and glossy celebrity obligations that collide over and over. Set in contemporary Miami, the series balances warm domestic humor with romantic tension and a bright, sweet, hopeful register. Fans of Jane the Virgin, Ugly Betty and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend will find a similar blend of heart, family comedy and romance.
