## Synopsis

Skylines (2019) is a German crime drama series created by Dennis Schanz for Netflix. Hip-hop producer Jinn (Edin Hasanović) finds his professional life entangled with organized crime when the gangster brother of his record label's owner returns from exile to claim his share. Sara (Peri Baumeister), Kalifa (Murathan Muslu), Semir (Sahin Eryilmaz), Raimund (Richy Müller) and Celine (Lisa Maria Potthoff) move through a world where music deals, loyalty and street power blur together. The engine is simple and pressing: a man who wants to keep his creative life and his label intact must navigate a returning criminal force that refuses to be ignored. The story unfolds across a single six-episode season of hour-long installments, a compact serialized arc in which each episode tightens the pressure on the characters. The atmosphere is gritty and tense, with a bruised, nocturnal energy around clubs, studios and back rooms. Its tone is brooding and morally charged, with an undercurrent of ambition and betrayal. Fans of Snowfall, Gomorrah and Empire will find resonance in its blend of street-level crime, music-world glamour and family-rooted loyalty. The series was canceled after its first season, leaving its central storyline unfinished.
