## Synopsis

Eden (2021) is an American animated science fiction miniseries created by Justin Leach for Netflix. Set thousands of years in the future, it follows two farming robots, S566 and E92, who accidentally awaken a human baby girl, Sara Grace, from stasis in the city of Eden 3, where machines have long believed humans were only a forbidden ancient myth. Voiced by Marika Kouno as Sara Grace and Koichi Yamadera as Zero, the cast brings the robots' inner lives to life through quiet, emotionally grounded performances. The engine of the story is the robots' secret decision to raise the child in a safe haven beyond the city walls, a choice that forces them to question everything they were taught to accept. Each of its four short episodes, roughly twenty-five minutes long, moves through small domestic moments of care, discovery and danger, building toward a complete single arc rather than standalone cases. The result is a gentle, contemplative blend of slice of life warmth and mecha style science fiction, with a hopeful, wistful atmosphere. Its vision of machines inheriting a vanished humanity recalls Pluto and the tender robot wonder of Wall-E, and fans of those titles will find resonance in its patient, humane approach to what it means to be alive.
