## Synopsis

BNA (2020) is a Japanese animated action fantasy series created for Fuji Television and produced by the Japanese studio TRIGGER, a shonen-leaning anime built on a single twelve-episode season. Its protagonist Michiru Kagemori (voiced by Sumire Morohoshi) is transformed into a raccoon beastman and must seek refuge in the walled-off special zone of Anima-City, where she depends on wolf beastman Shirou Ogami (voiced by Yoshimasa Hosoya) to survive and learn what has happened to her. The engine of the story is her struggle to hold onto her humanity while hiding in a world that treats beastmen as dangerous outsiders, with each episode mixing street-level chases, powered confrontations and gradually uncovered answers about the city's hidden order. The series unfolds in a contemporary fictional city where human and animal-like beings live under tension, and its tone is kinetic, earnest and defiant, with bursts of raw action balanced by moments of quieter friendship. Fans of Jujutsu Kaisen, Zootopia and Kill la Kill will find resonance in its blend of anthropomorphic creatures, supernatural power and a young protagonist refusing to be defined by her transformation.
