## Synopsis

Moon Knight (2022) is a six-episode American superhero miniseries created by Jeremy Slater for Disney+, produced within Marvel Studios' cinematic universe. Oscar Isaac plays Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift-shop employee who begins suffering blackouts and memories of another life, and who learns he shares his body with Marc Spector, a hardened mercenary. Ethan Hawke plays the menacing Arthur Harrow, and May Calamawy plays Layla El-Faouly, whose presence pulls the two identities into a deadly search. The engine of the series is the struggle to control a body and a life split between two people, while enemies close in and each episode uncovers another layer of a mystery tied to the powerful gods of Egypt. Its shape is a single continuing story rather than a case of the week, moving through London and Egypt with a dark, suspenseful mood that sets it apart from brighter Marvel fare. Set in the present day, its atmosphere is claustrophobic and psychological, with action sequences framed around a fractured mind. Fans of Daredevil and WandaVision will find resonance in its dark tone and identity-shifting premise, and viewers drawn to The Sopranos's psychological complexity may also appreciate its interior conflicts.
