## Synopsis

My Girlfriend is an Alien (2019-2022) is a Chinese web series romantic comedy created for Tencent Video. Its heroine, Chai Xiaoqi (Wan Peng), is an alien witch who has come to Earth and must hide her powers while surviving among humans. Her romantic target is the cold businessman Fang Leng (Thassapak Hsu), who is struggling with memory loss caused by trauma, and the pair's tug of war forms the emotional core. Other principal characters include Fang Lie (Wang Youjun), Sister Chai (Zhang Meng), and Doctor Zhang (Ashin Shu). Each episode is built from comic mishaps as Xiaoqi's powers misfire, her inhaled human hormones send her into dizzy spells, and she improvises fixes to keep her secret. The series runs across two seasons and fifty-eight episodes of roughly forty-five minutes each, with a fast, cheerful pace and a sweet, lighthearted register. Its tone blends slapstick, heartfelt character moments, and the warmth of a love story that gradually turns from antagonism to devotion. Fans of Meteor Garden, Boys Over Flowers, and My Love from the Star will find the same mix of playful romance and fantasy-tinged comedy here, delivered as a classic chinese romcom with a sci-fi twist.
