## Synopsis

Ms. Marvel (2022) is a US Disney+ superhero miniseries created by Bisha K. Ali for Disney+, a six-episode, single-season run of roughly fifty-minute episodes. Iman Vellani stars as Kamala Khan, a high school student in a New Jersey suburb who is a gifted student, an avid gamer, and a prolific writer of fan fiction about Captain Marvel. She struggles to fit in with her traditional Pakistani American family and her classmates until she gains shapeshifting powers that let her mimic the heroes she has always admired. The engine of the story is her attempt to juggle a secret double life, with homework, curfews, and a loyal circle of friends such as Bruno (Matt Lintz) and Nakia (Yasmeen Fletcher) pulling against her new responsibilities as she is drawn into a larger conflict. Each episode mixes everyday teenage comedy with action set pieces, and the show is a coming of age story at heart, built on family warmth, cultural identity, and the courage to be yourself. Its tone is light, breezy, and colorful, with comic book visuals that bring Kamala's imagination to life. Set in contemporary New Jersey, it sits within the Marvel Cinematic Universe and will appeal to fans of Spider-Man: Homecoming and Runaways, as well as viewers looking for a relatable hero with heart.
