## Synopsis

Melting Me Softly (2019) is a South Korean romantic comedy series created by Shin Woo-chul for tvN, produced by Studio Dragon. Ji Chang-wook plays Ma Dong-chan and Won Jin-ah plays Go Mi-ran, two people frozen during an experiment who wake twenty years later instead of a day later and must keep their body temperature above 30 degrees to survive. Their shared predicament drives the engine of the show: the pair must navigate a changed world, adjust to the lives that moved on without them, and hold onto a fragile new bond as their everyday survival demands constant care. Yoon Se-a, Im Won-hee and Kim Won-hae round out the principal cast, and the sixteen-episode run is a single continuing story rather than a case-of-the-week format. The series is a sixteen-episode limited run built on a sweet romantic core, with mystery threads and subplots folded into the main arc. Its tone is warm, witty and wistful, with a slow-burn romance at its center and a bright, comforting atmosphere. Set in contemporary Seoul, it stays close to the modern city and its work and family lives. Fans of Crash Landing on You and While You Were Sleeping will find resonance in its blend of romance, humor and fantasy premise.
