## Synopsis

Vagabond (2019) is a South Korean action thriller series created by Yoo In-sik and Jang Yeong-cheol for SBS, a single-season limited run of sixteen one-hour episodes. Stuntman Cha Dal-gun (Lee Seung-gi) is caught in a tragic airplane crash and begins digging into a national corruption scandal, while Go Hae-ri (Suzy), the eldest daughter of a deceased marine, joins the National Intelligence Service as a secret operative to support her mother and younger siblings. Their paths cross in a web of blackmail, aliases and shifting loyalties. The engine of the story is a constant push and pull between the two protagonists and the powerful figures who would bury the truth, including Gi Tae-woong (Shin Sung-rok) and Jessica Lee (Moon Jeong-hee). Each episode mixes political maneuvering with kinetic stunt work, street fights and chase sequences filmed on international locations. The show is a contemporary Korean spy drama set in present-day Korea and abroad, with a tense, propulsive atmosphere and a brooding undercurrent of loyalty and grief. Fans of Tunnel, Designated Survivor and the Bourne films will find resonance in its conspiracy plotting and action spectacle.
