## Synopsis

The Great North is a US adult animated family comedy created by Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin, Wendy Molyneux and Minty Lewis for FOX. Set in a small Alaskan town, it follows the Tobin family, led by a single father, Beef Tobin (Nick Offerman), who does his best to hold his offbeat brood together. Judy Tobin (Jenny Slate), whose artistic dreams pull her away from the family fishing boat and into the glamorous world of the local mall, becomes a central tension in the household. Wolf Tobin (Will Forte) and Honeybee Shaw (Dulcé Sloan) add further comic chaos to the ensemble. Each episode is a self-contained run of small domestic mishaps, misadventures and local oddities, built around everyday family friction in a remote northern community. The show runs five seasons across ninety-seven episodes and was canceled before its story was formally wrapped. Its tone is warm, breezy and gently absurd, with a cozy, wistful affection for its characters and their rugged surroundings. Fans of Bob's Burgers, King of the Hill and Family Guy will find resonance in its irreverent household humor and affectionate portrait of an unconventional family.
