## Synopsis

Cradle of Wolves (2019) is a Mexican telenovela created by Carlos Olmos and produced by Televisa for Univision and Las Estrellas. Catalina Creel (Paz Vega) is a breathtakingly beautiful and coldly cruel woman who, after causing the death of her millionaire husband Carlos, schemes relentlessly to secure his fortune and the family bloodline. Her ambitions collide with the Larios family, whose members are drawn into a web of rivalry, loyalty and hidden motives, including Carlos Larios (Leonardo Daniel), José Carlos Larios (Gonzalo García Vivanco) and Leonora Navarro (Paulette Hernández). The engine of the story is a constant cycle of manipulation, romantic entanglements and reversals, as each character tries to get ahead of the others in a contest for money and power. The series unfolds across a single 25-episode season of 50-minute episodes, following the classic telenovela arc from setup to resolution. Its tone is melodramatic and glossy, with a wicked, sensual register that makes the villainess compelling even as her cruelty escalates. Fans of Dark Desire, Dynasty and La Reina del Sur will find resonance in its blend of soap opera excess, wealth-driven intrigue and a scheming heroine at the center of it all.
