## Synopsis

Man v. Food (2008-2012) is an American reality travel series created for Travel Channel and later carried by Cooking Channel and Food Network. Host Adam Richman, a food fanatic who has worked nearly every job in the restaurant business, travels from city to city searching for the biggest and best eats the country has to offer. Each episode is built around a restaurant's signature oversized dish or notorious eating challenge, and Richman's appetite becomes the drama, as he pushes through towering portions and the pressure of finishing a meal against the clock. The show runs four seasons across 87 episodes, a brisk, cheerful format with no continuing story, so each stop stands alone. Its tone is playful, indulgent and good-natured, with the host's genuine enthusiasm for regional cooking giving the spectacle warmth. Fans of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern will find a similar appetite for local eateries, roadside culture and the pleasure of watching someone enjoy food to the limit. It is a light, easy watch for anyone who loves food television and road trips.
