## Synopsis

Heirs of the Night (2019-2020) is a German, Dutch and Norwegian co-produced fantasy series created by Diederik Van Rooijen and GameOnX-Officiel, aired on NRK3, ZDF and NDR Fernsehen. Set in 1889 across Europe, it follows fourteen-year-old Alisa (Anastasia Martin), who holds the extraordinary power to choose between eternal life as a vampire or freeing all vampires to live as humans. Around her, the five surviving vampire clans train together to survive, and principal characters Lars (Ulrik William Græsli), Ivy (Aisling Sharkey) and Tammo (Charlie Banks) are drawn into the tensions between loyalty, mistrust and ambition. Each episode of this twenty-six-episode, two-season run blends training sequences, shifting alliances and clan politics into a continuing story where every decision carries weight. The mood is gothic and tense, with a melancholic undercurrent and a steady sense of dread beneath its youthful heroine. Fans of Let the Right One In, Interview with the Vampire and Vampire Academy will find resonance in its blend of vampire mythology, coming of age and dark fantasy atmosphere.
