## Synopsis

Levius (2019) is a Japanese seinen anime series produced by Polygon Pictures and released on Netflix. Its protagonist, the young Levius Cromwell (voiced by Nobunaga Shimazaki), carries the casualties of war with him and fights with a prosthetic arm, taking his battles into the brutal world of mecha boxing. A.J. Langdon (Saori Hayami) and Natalia Garnet (Ayane Sakura) move through the same arena world, while Hugo Stratas (Daisuke Ono) and Dr. Crown (Mamoru Miyano) add weight to the rivalry and the machines. Each episode is built around a bout in which armored fighters pound each other in a metallic ring, and the wider story turns on what a damaged body can still achieve. Over a single season of twelve roughly twenty-five-minute episodes, the series keeps a steady, gritty pace. Its tone is somber and driven, with a postwar undercurrent that colors each fight. The series is set in a futuristic version of the postwar world, with the combat rings as its main stage. Fans of Megalo Box and Hajime no Ippo will find resonance in its underdog spirit and its grounded, bruising sports drama. The mecha action and grim atmosphere give it a distinct identity within sports anime.
