## Synopsis

Steven Universe Future (2019-2020) is an American animated continuation series created by Rebecca Sugar for Cartoon Network, produced by Cartoon Network Studios. Voiced by Zach Callison, the young protagonist Steven Universe is still busy after saving the universe, tidying up every loose end and solving other people's problems. Garnet (Estelle), Pearl (Deedee Magno Hall) and Amethyst (Michaela Dietz) remain his closest companions, and guest voices such as Natasha Lyonne and Susan Egan appear in smaller roles. As the stream of outside crises runs dry, the engine of the season turns inward: Steven must confront his own feelings and personal growth. This single season of twenty short episodes, each about eleven minutes long, is a gentle epilogue to the larger saga. Its register is nostalgic and introspective, with an alien fantasy world providing a warm backdrop. Fans of Steven Universe, Adventure Time and The Legend of Korra will find resonance in its blend of playful animation, found family affection and quiet emotional honesty. The tone is tender and reflective, suited to viewers who enjoy coming of age stories about leaving home and finding one's own footing.
