## Synopsis

Dorohedoro (2020-present) is a Japanese seinen anime series produced by MAPPA and adapted from Q Hayashida's manga. Amnesiac Caiman, a man with a lizard head, teams up with his friend Nikaido (voiced by Reina Kondo) to hunt down the sorcerer who cursed him, and Caiman's own voice (Wataru Takagi) carries much of the story's bitter humor. Their search runs through the Hole, a walled-off, grimy urban underworld where magic, crime, and cheap violence are part of everyday life. Each episode is built from brisk street-level fights, odd local characters, and wry banter, and the season-long pursuit of the curse keeps the story moving. The series is a dark comedy with a steampunk sheen, gruesome imagery, and an offbeat, deadpan sensibility, set in a dystopian city that feels cut off from the rest of the world. Fans of Jujutsu Kaisen, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, and Gantz will find resonance in its mix of supernatural action and grotesque comedy. The series has run across two seasons with a distinctive, idiosyncratic style that rewards viewers who enjoy bloody, offbeat anime.
