## Synopsis

Assault Lily BOUQUET (2020) is a Japanese animated action series created for TBS and produced by the animation studio SHAFT, following the magical girl and military school tradition of anime. Set in a near-future world where mysterious giant creatures called Huge threaten humanity, the story follows Riri Hitotsuyanagi, a student who wins a place at the prestigious Yurigaoka Girls' School, a Garden military academy. Her driving goal is to find Yuyu Shirai (voiced by Yuko Natsuyoshi), a girl who once rescued her. Riri and her classmates, including Kaede Johan Nouvel (Mikako Izawa), Fumi Futagawa (Rimi Nishimoto) and Miliam Hildegard von Globius (Karin Takahashi), train to become Lilies, heroines who synchronize with CHARM weapons built from science and magic. The series is a single twelve-episode season that blends training drills, rivalries, and friendship with combat against monstrous invaders. Its tone is earnest and energetic, with emotional bonds between the girls giving the battles weight. Viewers who enjoy Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Strike Witches and Attack on Titan will find resonance in its blend of schoolgirl camaraderie and creature-fighting spectacle.
