## Synopsis

Catch The Ghost (2019) is a South Korean tvN crime comedy series created by So Won and Lee Young-Joo for tvN, produced by Studio Dragon. Rookie detective Yoo-Ryung (Moon Geun-young) has a fierce sense of justice and an uncanny gift for reading spaces, but her rash moves keep landing her in trouble. Station chief Ko Ji-Seok (Kim Seon-ho) avoids cases and wants nothing more than a quiet life, yet he keeps cleaning up after her and holds the key to solving the crimes. Supporting players Eugene Jung as Ha Ma-Ri and Jo Jae-yun as Lee Man-Jin round out the Wangsimni station team. The engine of the show is the friction between her impulsive heroism and his reluctant competence, as each case forces them closer while they bicker through investigations. Told across one sixteen-episode season of roughly an hour each, it plays as a self-contained mystery arc with a steady romantic thread. Its register is breezy and warm, with comic clashes softening the crime plots. Fans of Monk, Castle and Hyde, Jekyll, Me will find a similar blend of quirky investigation and slow-building romance.
