## Synopsis

Crash Landing on You (2019-2020) is a South Korean romantic comedy drama created by Park Ji-eun and Lee Jung-hyo for tvN, a sixteen-episode limited series produced by Studio Dragon. A paragliding mishap drops Yoon Se-ri (Son Ye-jin), a heiress from Seoul, into North Korea, where she must avoid detection while sheltered by Ri Jeong-hyeok (Hyun Bin), an army officer who decides to help her hide. Their engine is the constant pressure of concealment: she wants to return home, he must protect her without endangering himself, and every episode turns on a near discovery, a border patrol, or a favor owed. Around them, Seo Dan (Seo Ji-hye) and Goo Seung-joon (Kim Jung-hyun) add rival romantic and political stakes, while the village and military households supply domestic comedy. Set in present-day North Korea and South Korea, the series moves between the cold tension of a surveilled society and the warm absurdity of everyday life. The tone blends witty banter, romantic yearning and moments of real danger. Fans of Boys Over Flowers and Secret Garden will find the same mix of glamour, class contrast and sincere romance here, and anyone who enjoyed the cross-border longing of My Love from the Star will feel at home.
