## Synopsis

Spriggan (2022) is a Japanese anime action series produced for Netflix and adapted from the Shogakukan manga. The six-episode season follows Yu Ominae (voiced by Chiaki Kobayashi), an agent of the ARCAM Corporation's elite Spriggan unit, alongside Jean Jacquemonde (voiced by Yohei Azakami) and Director Yamamoto (voiced by Kenji Hamada). Their job is to track down relics left behind by an ancient civilization whose technology still holds terrifying power, and to keep these artifacts out of hostile hands before rival groups can seize them. Each episode is built around a fresh retrieval mission, with action set pieces, corporate and military maneuvering, and a growing sense of how dangerous the relics truly are. The tone is tense and hard-edged, with a gritty, adult register and a cool, serious atmosphere. The season is a single continuing story that moves quickly, with gunfights and brutal confrontations. Fans of Attack on Titan, Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, and Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex will find familiar pleasures in its blend of spectacle, conspiracy, and treasure-hunting adventure.
