## Synopsis

Imma Tataranni (2019-present) is an Italian crime comedy series created by Francesco Amato, Kiko Rosati and Mariolina Venezia for Rai 1. Vanessa Scalera plays Imma Tataranni, an abrasive deputy prosecutor in the Matera Public Prosecutor's Office, a woman with a prodigious memory, a rodeo-clown sense of style and a habit of solving cases through unorthodox means. Massimiliano Gallo, Alessio Lapice and Carlo Buccirosso fill out the office and police world around her, as Imma pushes past procedure to chase suspects and expose the hidden motives behind local crimes. Each episode is a self-contained investigation, giving the show a case-of-the-week shape carried by character comedy and the friction between Imma's bluntness and the people around her. The series unfolds across five seasons in the sun-bleached streets and stone old town of Matera in southern Italy, a setting that adds warmth and texture to its mysteries. The tone is breezy and sardonic, with an affectionate, comforting energy. Fans of Monk and Motive will find resonance in its eccentric detective lead and light-hearted investigations.
