## Synopsis

Mythic Quest (2020-2025) is an American workplace comedy series created by Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day and Megan Ganz for Apple TV. Rob McElhenney plays Ian Grimm, the creative and egotistical head of a studio behind the biggest multiplayer video game of all time, while Charlotte Nicdao plays programmer Poppy Li and Ashly Burch plays Rachel Meyee, both stuck in the middle of his demands. F. Murray Abraham plays the imperious C.W. Longbottom, and Danny Pudi plays the scheming Brad Bakshi. The engine of the show is the constant clash between creative ambition and the mundane pressures of the office, with deadlines, patch releases, player backlash and personal grudges turning each half hour episode into a fresh round of escalating rivalry. Across four seasons of ten-episode runs the show plays as a serialized sitcom with recurring storylines rather than isolated gags. Set in a present day Southern California game studio, it has a mischievous, playful and farcical tone, with the lightheartedness of a tight ensemble comedy. Fans of Silicon Valley, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and The Office will find resonance in its sharp satire of tech egos and office dynamics. The series was canceled, leaving its story unfinished.
