## Synopsis

Hyena (2020) is a South Korean legal drama series created by Jang Tae-yoo and Kim Ru-ri for SBS. Two rival lawyers serving high-class clientele, played by Ju Ji-hoon as Yoon Hee-jae and Kim Hye-soo as Jung Geum-ja, tear apart anything standing between them and their ambitions in a dog-eat-dog world of elite law firms. Lee Kyung-young as Song Pil-jung and Hwang Bo-ra as Sim Yoo-mi round out the principal cast, drawn into a web of corruption, deception and shifting alliances. The series runs as a single sixteen-episode season, with each episode built around high-stakes cases, investigations and boardroom maneuvering that push its characters closer to ruin. Set in present-day Seoul, the show favors a glossy, tense register where ambition, betrayal and a volatile romantic undercurrent between rivals keep every confrontation charged. Its tone is sharp, cynical and propulsive, a Korean prestige drama with the bite of a power struggle. Viewers who enjoy Suits, Better Call Saul or the moral gamesmanship of Korean legal thrillers will find much to savor in its unforgiving take on wealth and influence.
