## Synopsis

Prehistoric Planet (2022-present) is a British natural history documentary series created by Mike Gunton for Apple TV, produced by the BBC Studios Natural History Unit. David Attenborough presents, with Tom Hiddleston providing narration, guiding viewers through the world of dinosaurs and other creatures of the Mesozoic era, roughly 66 million years ago. Rather than following a single protagonist, the series is built from self-contained episodes spread across three seasons of five episodes each, with each installment focusing on a different habitat, whether lush forests, open plains, shallow seas, or cold northern landscapes. Paleontologists and scientists appear as expert voices explaining what the animals might have eaten, how they hunted, raised young, and survived their environment. Computer-generated recreations give the creatures a convincing physical presence, with the camerawork borrowing the grand sweep of wildlife filmmaking. The tone is reverent, awed, and gently educational, a calm and immersive watch for anyone curious about prehistory. Fans of Planet Earth, Blue Planet II and Walking with Dinosaurs will find the same blend of spectacle and scientific curiosity, delivered as an easy and comforting documentary experience.
