## Synopsis

Invincible is an American adult animated superhero series adapted from the Skybound comic line and streaming on Prime Video. Mark Grayson, a teenager on the verge of his seventeenth birthday, begins to develop super powers and steps into the training of his father, the planet's most celebrated hero. Steven Yeun voices Mark, with Sandra Oh as his mother and J.K. Simmons as the towering father figure. The engine of the show is a young hero trying to live up to an impossible legacy while battling monsters, rival heroes and interplanetary threats, with each season widening a cosmic conflict around his family and friends. Episodes are serialized, brutal and bloody, yet full of heart and emotional weight. The tone swings between sincere family drama and darkly comic irreverence, set in a contemporary world of spandex heroes, suburban life and alien invasion. Fans of The Boys, Kick-Ass and Teen Titans will find resonance in its blend of graphic action and coming of age stakes. Viewers who enjoy adult animation with real emotional stakes will feel at home here.
