## Synopsis

The Mallorca Files is a British-German crime drama created by Dan Sefton for BBC One and Prime Video. Miranda Blake, a British detective, and Max Winter, a German detective with a very different approach to policing, are paired on the Spanish island of Mallorca. Their clashing personalities gradually become a complementary partnership as they investigate a new crime each week, moving through the island's vibrant international expatriate community. Local figures are drawn into the cases, and each episode is built around a fresh investigation and interpersonal friction between the two leads. The series is a standard case-of-the-week structure with a modest run of three seasons so far, still returning. Set in the present day on a sunny Mediterranean island, it carries a breezy, sunlit tone with a light mystery register. Viewers who enjoy Death in Paradise, Beck and Hinterland will find resonance in its blend of scenic locale and odd-couple detective chemistry, offering an easygoing watch with gentle intrigue and warm rapport.
