## Synopsis

The Invisible Line (2020) is a Spanish national-television historical crime miniseries created by Abel García Roure for Movistar Plus. Across six 45-minute episodes, it dramatizes the birth of the Basque militant group ETA in the repressive final years of Franco's dictatorship, following young militants such as Txabi Etxebarrieta (Àlex Monner) and Txiki (Anna Castillo) as they move from clandestine meetings toward their first armed act. Antonio de la Torre plays Melitón Manzanas, a figure of the state apparatus whose pursuit makes every step dangerous. The engine of the story is a set of conspirators weighing loyalty, ideology and fear against the Guardia Civil's relentless surveillance, with each episode tightening the net around the group. Set in 1950s and 1960s Spain and the French Basque country, the series carries a tense, austere, dread-filled tone, grounded in period detail and political seriousness. Its restrained, character-focused approach suits viewers of political thrillers and historical dramas. Fans of Patria, The Time in Between and The Americans will find resonance in its blend of historical weight, moral ambiguity and suspense.
