## Synopsis

The Confession Killer (2019) is an American true crime docuseries created by Robert Kenner and Taki Oldham for Netflix, presented as a five-episode miniseries. The series centers on Henry Lee Lucas, the drifter who rose to infamy after confessing to hundreds of unsolved murders across the United States, and features interviews with Lucas himself alongside Bob Prince, who appears as a principal voice in the investigation. Rather than simply retelling a sensational story, the documentary builds its engine around a central question: how much of a confession can be trusted, and what happens to victims, families, and investigators when a claim of guilt is accepted without proof. Each of its roughly fifty-minute episodes works through archival material, case files, and on-camera testimony, weighing the confessions against the evidence and the human cost of unsolved deaths. The tone is sober, unsettling, and investigative, with an atmosphere of institutional doubt and moral unease. Fans of Making a Murderer, The Jinx, and Mindhunter will find the same appetite for forensic patience and slow reckoning with flawed justice that defines the genre.
