## Synopsis

White House Plumbers (2023) is a US HBO limited series created by Alex Gregory and Peter Huyck. Woody Harrelson plays E. Howard Hunt and Justin Theroux plays G. Gordon Liddy, the zealous operatives tasked with plugging leaks inside the Nixon White House, while Lena Headey, Domhnall Gleeson as John Dean, and Judy Greer as Fran Liddy round out the principal cast. Across five episodes the story follows their clumsy, increasingly desperate efforts to protect the presidency, and the chain of botched schemes that tangles them in the scandal they were hired to prevent. Each installment is built from concrete missteps, bureaucratic blunders and paranoid meetings in cramped offices, all grounded in the true story. Set in 1970s Washington, the series is a prestige HBO dramatization with a sharp satirical edge, its tone sliding between biting comedy and dread as the stakes rise. Fans of Dick, Veep and Chernobyl will find resonance in its blend of true-events history, political farce and ensemble ruin. The tone stays wry and unsettling throughout, with the absurdity of the crimes never fully hiding their seriousness.
