## Synopsis

Move to Heaven (2021) is a South Korean family drama miniseries created by Yoon Ji-ryun for Netflix. Across ten episodes, detail-oriented trauma cleaner Cho Sang-gu (Lee Je-hoon) works alongside his estranged uncle Yoon Yeong-su (Jeong Seok-yong), a man with his own guarded history, clearing apartments and rooms left behind after deaths. Their work is the engine of each episode: sorting, cleaning and restoring the spaces of people who died alone, unexpectedly or without anyone noticing, and reading the objects they left as clues to untold stories. Each case unfolds as a self-contained emotional vignette, with the uncle and nephew gradually confronting their own strained relationship in the process. Cho Sang-gu's neurodivergent perspective brings a precise and patient attention to every room. The tone is quiet, sentimental and tender, grounded in contemporary Seoul and its ordinary apartments, with a steady undercurrent of grief and reconciliation. Viewers who loved the gentle grief of Dear Mr. Cohen, the family devotion of Mother, or the reflective warmth of Our Blues will find a similar resonance. The series is a restrained, humane study of mourning and the living who are left to carry it.
