## Synopsis

Sweet Home (2020-2024) is a South Korean survival horror series created for Netflix, produced by Studio N and Studio Dragon and drawn from the Korean webtoon tradition. Cha Hyun-su (Song Kang), a withdrawn young man who has lost his family, moves into a shabby apartment complex only to find his neighbours mutating into grotesque creatures. He joins a loose band of survivors led by Pyeon Sang-wook (Lee Jin-uk) and Seo Yi-kyung (Lee Si-young), and the group must scavenge, barricade and negotiate with one another while the outside city collapses. The engine of the series is the constant pressure between staying alive and staying human: every episode forces characters to decide whether to protect strangers or save themselves, and each new monster type raises the stakes. Across three seasons and twenty-six episodes it plays as one continuing story rather than case-of-the-week episodes, with the building itself becoming a claustrophobic stage. Its tone is bleak, visceral and emotionally raw, with dread and grief sitting alongside moments of fragile solidarity. Fans of The Walking Dead, Train to Busan and Kingdom will find the same blend of creature horror, communal survival and moral strain, set in a contemporary Seoul that feels increasingly unreal.
