## Synopsis

Lupin (2021-present) is a French crime thriller series created by George Kay, François Uzan, Marie Roussin, Florent Meyer and Tigran Rosine for Netflix. Omar Sy plays Assane Diop, a Senegalese-French gentleman thief in modern Paris who takes inspiration from the classic Arsene Lupin stories. His goal is to avenge his father, who was wrongfully ruined by a wealthy family, and he pursues that quest through a string of audacious heists and shifting disguises. Each stretch of the story pits him against determined police investigators and the powerful figures who protected the original injustice, so every move carries the risk of exposure. The series runs three seasons and twenty-five episodes, forming one continuing story with a case-driven rhythm. Set in contemporary Paris and its banlieue suburbs, it blends glossy caper pleasures with grounded class and racial tension. The tone is witty and suspenseful, with a cool, stylish confidence. Fans of Money Heist, Leverage and Sherlock will find resonance in its clever misdirection and charismatic lead.
