## Synopsis

Witch Hunt (2020) is a Norwegian crime drama limited series created by Anna Bache-Wiig and Siv Rajendram Eliassen for TV 2 Direkte. Ingrid Bolsø Berdal plays Ida Waage, a dynamic chief financial officer at a prestigious law firm who spots a suspicious invoice and follows it to a money laundering operation tied to the firm's biggest client, Peer Eggen, played by Mads Ousdal. Her engine is simple and sharp: she wants the truth exposed, but every step brings her closer to her own executive board, which turns on her with threats of false accusations. Gard B. Eidsvold appears as Ola Waage, and Sara Khorami joins the cast as Aida Salim, adding pressure from people who have as much at stake as Ida does. The eight-episode run unfolds as one continuing story, with each episode tightening the net around Ida as her job and credibility erode while she takes her evidence to the police. The series is set in contemporary Norway, in the glass-walled offices of a respected firm where reputation is currency. Its tone is taut and grounded, a quiet professional dread rather than spectacle, with a steady focus on institutional loyalty and personal courage. Fans of Billions, The Wire and Occupied will find resonance in its corporate intrigue and its lone protagonist seeking justice against a powerful establishment.
