## Synopsis

White House Farm (2020) is a British factual drama limited series created for ITV1 that dramatizes the notorious White House Farm murders and the police investigation and court case that followed. Stephen Graham stars as DCI Thomas 'Taff' Jones, the detective who pieces together a grim family tragedy from scattered evidence, while Freddie Fox plays Jeremy Bamber, the man at the center of the case, and Amanda Burton appears as June Bamber. Alongside them, Mark Addy as DS Stan Jones, Mark Stanley as Colin Caffell, and Cressida Bonas as Sheila Caffell help fill out a web of relatives, friends and officers. The engine of the series is the slow grind of an investigation: interviews in cramped rooms, forensic details that refuse to line up neatly, and the strain on investigators who know a community is waiting for answers. Across six forty-five-minute episodes it moves methodically from the crime scene toward the courtroom, letting the weight of testimony and doubt carry the drama. Set in 1980s rural England, its tone is sombre, grounded and claustrophobic, with an emphasis on procedure over spectacle. Fans of The Staircase, Broadchurch and Making a Murderer will find the same appetite for real cases told with restraint and moral unease.
