## Synopsis

Agent Hamilton (2020-2022) is a Swedish national-television spy thriller series created by Jan Guillou for TV4, running two seasons across seventeen episodes of roughly forty-four minutes each. Jakob Oftebro plays Carl Hamilton, an operative who returns to Stockholm after years of secret training in the United States just as a wave of terrorist attacks shakes the city. Assigned to help the Swedish intelligence service track down the guilty, he must also keep his own double-agent game hidden from the people he works beside. Nina Zanjani plays intelligence officer Kristin Ek, and Krister Henriksson plays the gruff veteran DG, whose trust Hamilton has to earn while he juggles bombings, cyber intrusions and shifting alliances. The engine is constant pressure: every lead threatens to expose his double life, and every operation pulls him deeper into a world of surveillance and compromise. Each season is one continuing story rather than a case of the week, with a tense, cold, procedural texture and a paranoid undercurrent. Fans of Spooks, 24 and the Nordic thriller tradition of The Bridge will find resonance in its espionage tension and its political unease. The result is a grounded, brooding spy drama set in present-day Sweden and built on loyalty, deception and the cost of divided allegiance.
