## Synopsis

Fate: The Winx Saga (2021-2022) is a British-produced live action teen fantasy series created by Brian Young for Netflix. Adapting the animated Winx Club, it follows Bloom (Abigail Cowen) and her fairy friends Stella (Hannah van der Westhuysen), Aisha (Precious Mustapha) and Terra (Eliot Salt) as they train at Alfea, a magical boarding school in the Otherworld. Their engine is simple and personal: they must master powers that are still unpredictable while navigating crushes, friendships and rivalries, and while monsters gather that threaten their very existence. Each episode mixes classroom-style learning with action sequences and mysteries, and the story builds across two seasons of thirteen episodes in total before the series was canceled. The tone is darker and more mature than the cartoon, with teen angst, suspense and bursts of violence woven into the coming-of-age material. Its atmosphere is glossy and moody, set in an invented magical realm rather than a real place. Fans of Riverdale, Sabrina the Teenage Witch and Shadowhunters will find a similar blend of youthful romance and supernatural peril.
